ABOUT US

The Information Technology & Business Teachers of Ireland (ITBTI) was set up in 1985 for teachers concerned with and involved in the teaching of Information Communication Technology and Business Skills at all levels.

ITBTI is a non-profit organisation dedicated to connecting teachers, people and organisations to use the power of technology that will provide a basis for their ongoing engagement in learning and personal achievement.  We are a countrywide organisation.

The ITBTI are a network of teachers and educators who share a common interest in enhancing teaching and learning through the use of technology.  We are a society of educators who value innovative uses of information and communication technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.  Technology in the classroom has the power to transform the way you teach, and the way your students learn. It can extend the walls of your classroom to the four corners of the globe.

Becoming a member of the ITBTI connects you to resources and people to support your teaching goals.  Where do you get answers to questions about your profession? Chances are it is from other teachers. Being a member of the ITBTI connects you with peers across your country, providing a central location for educators to meet, share, discuss and contribute on topics of interest to a specific community of practice.  Being a part of our society allows members to share knowledge and learn from others, discuss training issues and review various training topics

Being a member of the ITBTI connects you to a society that supports you in the world of teaching ICT and brings recognition as a professional tutor / trainer who is part of an innovative and dynamic community.
